How To Ace The Arts:

You now have a brief idea about these exams. Here’s what you can do to be sure to clear them as well:

  • Keep Your Eyes Open

Keen observation skills are a must for any artist. Having an eye for detail can take you a long way in your career. Constantly observe your surroundings, nature, places and people around you. It also adds precision to your drawings making them look more real and appealing.

  • Practice Could Make You Picasso

You will be appearing for six different subjects in these exams. Each subject is different from the other and demands a certain set of skills. The more you practice, the more you hone your skills and achieve perfection.

  • Tick Tock, it’s Art o’Clock

Both of these exams are held across a span of two days. It is extremely important to time yourself while preparing for them. Each subject requires a lot of detailing and hence can be very time-consuming. Only efficient time management can ensure smooth sailing for you.

  • Eyes On The Prize

Concentration is the most essential tool to ace these exams especially for subjects like memory drawing and freehand drawing. You must remain focused and avoid all distractions while drawing. Practice meditation and yoga for better concentration skills.

  • Be In It To Win It

If you ever feel demotivated or intimidated by the pressure, remind yourself why you started in the first place. Clearing the exams should be your goal and your passion for art should be the way you achieve it. It is necessary to inspire and motivate yourself.

Importance of Art Exams

If you are looking at securing admission to the prestigious JJ Institute of Applied Arts in Mumbai, it is necessary to have the Drawing Grade Examinations Certificate.

Clearing both of these exams may not be compulsory for all fine/commercial arts or even architecture colleges. However, taking them could prove helpful in determining if you have what it takes to pursue a career in this field. The exams are an excellent way to fine-tune your drawing skills and creativity.

Most colleges and universities have their entrance or aptitude tests. If you wish to seek admission in any of them, it will depend solely upon the scores in these tests and marks scored in SSC or HSC for a bachelor’s degree or a post-graduate degree, respectively.
